Autumn colour always seems to appear suddenly and then fade just as quickly. For many years, by the time I’ve noticed that things are getting good, my calendar is already too full. So, this year, I made sure that I popped in to visit some of the local ‘big-hitting’ autumn spots in my area.
Sheffield park is a bit of a drive but if the weather is calm, it gives some beautiful reflections in the lakes. Scotney Castle is right on my doorstep and is a great place to visit at most times of year (as long as you avoid the usual crowds). Once again, calm, days, which aren’t always a regular thing at this time of year, will offer up some great reflections.
