I still haven’t managed to visit Dover Castle, but then I always say that I much prefer looking at the outside of these things rather than going into them… one day! In the meantime, I will make do by wandering along the top of the cliffs and looking out at the great views across the Channel to France.
It was a nice day, and the Fan Bay Deep Shelter was open for visitors, so as we hadn’t been there before, we donned our yellow hard hats and headed underground to explore and see what was on offer. There were plenty of tunnels to explore, and it was good to see the sound mirrors up close too.
