after a few dreary days, a sunny one appeared on the forecast so I thought it would be an idea to get into the forest at dawn to catch the light.

It was a bit gloomy to start with as the sun made its way up behind the trees

The sky was beautifully blue but streaked with vapour trails – I was pleased with this shot although if I had taken it an hour later, the sun might have introduced a bit more colour but I think this image conveys a fresh November morning quite nicely (I had to get home as I’d split my trousers climbing up a bank!)

On the way back I noticed the morning sun illuminating the mist across this field – there’s always time for one last shot.
