On Friday I was tasked to take some photos for a friend’s wedding, which I had rather cautiously agreed to, as I was well aware of the pressures involved with messing up their big day. It turned out to be a lovely day: a nice chilled ceremony followed by a fun reception and everyone there had a great time but photographically it turned out to be much more challenging than I had hoped! The Hotel, although a very pleasant location was very dark and the weather was equally gloomy – not raining, which was a plus, but very overcast with poor light. All this meant that I spent the whole day trying to light people and avoid people becoming blurred in my shots. All in all the day was a massive learning experience for me, which in retrospect is a good thing and it has certainly spurred me on to try another wedding at some point in the future. I hope Kathy and Mark liked their pics.
