I took a trip to ZSL London Zoo on a glorious April day with my mind set on capturing some images of the wildlife on show.

A large part of making images at the zoo involved focusing around netting and cages and avoiding reflections in the viewing windows.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that in many exhibitions, visitors are able to get very close to the animals, sometimes without any barriers between us at all!
