Union Mill in Cranbrook at Sunset by fraser allen photography

Along with a selection of other artists and photographers, I’ve recently been given the opportunity by Grierson Galleries to show a few of my prints in their gallery space at The Hive.

I chose to show a couple of images taken in Cranbrook – Blue Trees, taken the morning after the ‘Beast from the East’ delivered a blanket of snow to the south east, Sunset Union, which was an image I had envisioned for a while but needed to capture the right type of sunset light behind Cranbrook’s Union Mill and finally, a shot of Brooklyn Bridge taken last year on my New York Trip on a very gloomy day!

The frames were all hand crafted by Craig at Kent Carving using locally sourced seasoned oak with walnut splines.

The giclée prints were then mounted and assembled by Richard at The Frame Place.

The Hive is a newly opened enterprise, hot-desking and social hub in Cranbrook, by day you can hire rooms or just a desk to work from or entertain your clients and by night it becomes a bar serving greek snacks and is open to everyone.
